Albert Einstein’s eyeballs were removed during his autopsy in 1955 by pathologist Thomas Harvey, who also stole his brain. Harvey gave the eyeballs to Einstein’s eye doctor, Henry Abrams, who kept them in a safety deposit box in New York City. The eyeballs remain in the box to this day.
