The Xoloitzcuintli is the national dog of Mexico.

Known to exist in Mexico for over 3,000 years, the Xolo can justly claim the distinction as first dog of the Americas. The Xolo has three sizes – toy, miniature and standard, and two varieties, hairless and coated.
