The Siberian tiger is classified as an endangered species and is listed in the IUCN Red List, the Red Book of Russia, and Appendices II of CITES. Currently, fewer than 600 Siberian tigers remain in the wild, with several hundred more being kept in zoos and nature parks worldwide.
